I have a large Cymbidium which I have had for just over a year now. It has produced new leaves this summer and so far four flower stems, which are between 10-25cms tall with flowerheads starting to emerge on the longest.

I just went to do my daily check on my Bonsais and the Orchid to discover the flowers stems are yellow and looking deadish, although I'm sure they were fine yesterday!

They are in a 25cm terracota pot. Have I overwater? underwater? Any ideas gratefully accepted! [IMG]

It seems a strange time of the year for it to be forming flower stems.
As I understand it Cymbidiums need cool temps for flower stems to develop and the flower buds to open properly.

    Below 15C at night?
Thats where it gets easier over here, you can always warm things up, but cooling them down is something else. :D

No, only to about 17 so far! It was fine last year. Have moved it from the one side of the outdoor living room to the other this year though, east rather than west facing.
