Yours is well ahead of ours Val ... how old is yours? We cut ours back every year / remove dead stems, do you? The ones in the pond at our 'local' are several meters tall.

Love your new avatar catz ... :kittykiss:

This is one I found on the net.

I want to divide mine - I presume you can just just it into two bits. Can you do that now?

LOL Thanks Victoria! If I were to get a tattoo it would be of this cat. Hehehehe
I have a dwarf papyrus in one of my mini water gardens that will want bringing in for the winter. Do I keep it in a sunny window?

This is just 6 months old!!! started from a single seed in February this year, I have re potted it about three times and I feed it once a week, it grows in my conservatory I think it might die if I put it outside, it is producing seed and the seed is dropping all over the place!! No dead stems yet just more shoots!!! I must confess that I didn't realise it would grow this big I think its future lies in the balance!!!!!

Gemini - that really interesting. Yours is already a bit larger than mine, which I grew from seed last year. But I have kept mine outside from late spring. So I assume it is the extra temperature that is making yours grow so fast. Mine were very small at the end of the first year - but they had spent most of the time outside.

I never thought they would produce seed in this country. Which is another piece of news.

I lost a couple over the winter, which I think was from too much water. I left them in saucers of water till fairly late - December or even later - I can't remember. They were under some low level lights, but on reflection I would say give them as much light as you can and very much reduce the water.
