Spotted though the kitchen window this evening, and taken through the double glazing as I doubted they would stay if I tried to go outside to watch them.

And of course, there's always one that feels left out!

So, after taking these and several more to get the actual moment of feeding, I did go out and refill the bird table with wild bird seed, dad and top child went, child at the base of the table stayed in place whilst I put the food out! Of course he went before I could get my camera focused.

Lovely juvenile piccies Ilkley. Aren't they amusing - those first few days. So naïve and vulnerable,
      Jenny

Thanks guys, I've got blackbirds nesting (I believe) in both my front and rear garden hedges, at least from the amount of blackbirds flying inside them, and some dunnocks nesting in a Laburnum bush. I've usually got some birds nesting in the privet hedge as well in another hedge past where my garden doubles in width.

They are early birds, here where I live they have only just started nesting about a week ago

Blackbirds have made a come back though in my area. During the last 15 years they declined in numbers but are now back singing their hearts out. I've probable got around 5 or 6 pairs with young squabbling and singing in the garden....a really great sight to see and a great year for Blackbirds.:hapydancsmil:

How sweet. I haven't seen much activity around here yet. Bluetits have been building their nest for weeks. No-one else has used the boxes this year. Maybe they are late as its been rather cold up here :rolleyespink:
