    According to the local news last night the Daffodils are almost a month late in flowering in the lake district this year .Not very far forward here either .But given the winter we've had I expect it's the same everywhere.[/align]

    Yes, the only ones around here that are in bloom (in the last couple of days) are those in full sun or protected.

    Same here in Yorkshire.. not a daff to be seem on Yorks walls as yet. only short buds..Still on the lookout for the first one.

    10 days ago..our Daffs where hardly breaking ground here in our garden...but they have shot up since then...and most are at half normal height today.

    I'm hoping the daffs will wait a couple of weeks when we go up to North Yorkshire, we hope to see Farndale in all its splendour

    No sign of any daffodils flowering here in Cheshire either. In fact, the bluebells seem more advanced!

    John, I'm sure that they are waiting especially for you to get there. :hehe:

    Even here in Shineyland we have none even looking as though they may burst into life - but some of them now are beginning to show buds.

    A house round the corner from us has a full bloom of daffs but they've been planted in full sun against the brick wall of the house, so not surprising. Mine are in shade at this time of year so taking a bit longer!

    My Tete e Tete on a north facing bank are open and have been since i got home from hols on Monday

    My miniture daffs are out ,at least a month late here in N Lincs. no sign of the taller ones yet.
