    Hi Everyone

After my first year of sowing seeds i had a very successful try at Dahlia Pompone, i have around 50 strong young plants!! Has anyone tried growing these in pots? I've ran out of space in the garden and dont want to throw them away [IMG]
    Thx in advance
    Sean

    Congratulations Mowgley.

I've grown Dahlias in containers - and in fact have some growing on now. They are greedy feeders so always plant with slow release fertiliser e.g. osmacote - and give them space to grow in any container.

Look good to me, well done - yes they are a bit late, but they look fine. As an addendum to my previous message, as well as slow release, you may need to give them an additional potassium rich feed to get the best of the flowers - e.g. tomatoe food
