Hello everyone, for you Dahlia lovers out there I thought I just share one with you that has just started flowering in my garden. It has been grown from seed I saved from plants last year and has fascinated me for the last few days now.

The flower starts off white with yellow towards the centre, but as it matures the flower changes colour to a more pink/purple looking colour with white towards the edge of the petals and yellow towards the middle. It definately is quirky dahlia just like me :).

Best to just enjoy the quirkyness ..I have some Brugmansias which often start flowering white then as they turn a lovely apricot colour .Sometimes they just open as Apricot ..

All i know that the seeds were from sutton called coltness mix and i bought them last year, this plant is from the seeds i saved from the plant i grew. On my flower bed i had yellow, purple and red flowers so the bees then produced this. So who knows what they will make next year?
