Just put in some DPC to the back of my border to stop next doors bindweed getting in. Can't remember is this was a Geoff Hamilton or Alan Titchmarsh tip. As the border was already planted I could only get around 3 to 4 inches under the soil but hopefully any bindweed will grow behind now and I can just easily pull it out from behind.

Probably killed a few plants in the process but the black plastic does give a nice back to the border and will hopefully make it easier to weed.

Hi Johnny, don`t be surprised if the bindweed grows underneath the plastic. Probably the only way to get rid of it is with Glyphosate. David.

You have to admire Bindweed for its will to survive. I imagine a lot will come under but hopefully a lot of it will grow to the back and will be easier to cut away and not be feeding off my fertiliser [IMG] Hopefully at the end of the year I can try getting the DPC down lower as I still have a couple of inches above ground and around 4 below.
