I bought a damson tree in november last year (leafless) and planted it in the garden following the planting instructions. That would be manure and compost dug into the hole before planting and giving it a good water in. I am still waiting for it to come alive. Should I be contacting the nursery I got it from to complain or is it still alive in there and I should just keep waiting?

It should be well in leaf now. Scratch the bark, if it is green underneath then it is alive, if brown then it is probably dead.

Thanks for the reply. The trunk is still green though some of the branches look dead at the ends. Should I trim down to the live bit or leave it alone.
