Daphne Leggy

    Hi.
    My Daphne has done really well this year but I need to repot it into a taller pot.
    It's gone leggy at the bottom. If I was to plant with these stems below the soil would the plant be OK?

    I would say no. For shrubs and trees the general advise is to plant at the same depth it was in the nursery.
    Daphnes can be temperamental and also aren't cheap, so I wouldn't risk it.
    I don't know what species/variety yours is, but it's a lot less leggy than mine.

      It looks like a Daphne odora. Nooooo..don't bury the stems. They're likely to rot!

        If possible get it in the ground. They have very deep roots which prefer to be planted. Having said that, your plant doesn't look that leggy to me
