    Hi Gardeners!

Many apologies for being away so long and thanks to those of you who have been dropping the odd line - very much appreciated.

I wondered if you would like to see some photos I have had a chance to do this Autumn from taking the odd drive around the moor in the car. None of these are taken any more than a few yards from the roadside or a car park!

The Moor has been beautiful this year and is a tonic to get out and breathe its fresh air.

I have tinkered with them by cropping and some gradient and light/colour/contrast adjustments - but the Moorscapes really are so dramatic they don't really need too much tinkering.

Has anyone else noticed that if you use Photobuckets Poster function in the editing suite, that it actually blurs the photos a bit ? - my originals seem to have much more clarity than the ones put in poster form.

    Hope you enjoy them.

    Kath

    Thanks Strongy and Roders.

Been away from the computer in general with lots of naff stuff going on in the 'real' world for me which I won't bore you all with. Good to catch up with my GC friends!

Thanks for the comment about the enhancement Roders - I had a job not putting lightning in ALL the pics , so thrilled I was with the new fangled gadget on photoshop!!!! :D ;)

    Thanks Pal and Cap :)

To keep thread numbers down, I'll use this 'Autumn' thread to periodically add Dartmoor scenes from other seasons too.

Spring is breaking through in Devon, but on the Moor, things are a little slower - much colder and more severe weather. Had a visit to Bellever, just outside Princetown (where the prison is) and took some shots for you to see..

    Thanks Rosa xx :)

You have some lovely castles and coastal scenery up your way don't you? Northumberland is beautiful - and the Farne Islands aren't too far away from you too! If you ever get a chance to visit I'd love to see your photos too.

    You're very welcome Nutty! :)

I'm sorry you didn't get a good view on your cycling trip. On this day of taking photos, we went from brilliant sunshine, torrential rain, hail and back to sunshine again in the space of 20 minutes and the wind was very chill. 10 miles away back home in Ivybridge it had been sunny and dry the whole afternoon.

If you ever want to return, there is a spare bed and a garage for your bike anytime.
