    My sister has one in her Mill pond - and I have seend a tortois (well what do they call those water ones ?turtle?) going up into it, but I am sure this is not what it is for.

    Duck nesting may be?

    Yup a duck des res...the visiting ducks took a reccy yesterday but no takers yet....

    Yup she had one.. then the water level rose in the natural pond and it drowned, She has just planted another further up they are I understand marginals... [​IMG]

    Thats what her Dad bought her for her birthday THEY... disappeared overnight not street wise we thought Foxes?

    Not sure I got you rosietu, do you mean her dad bought her some Mandarins? or is it my pills again!

    I think there is a way of keeping them if so - will ask my sister, I am more poultry she does the ducks, she has a great set up, she sells bags of feed for passers by to feed them on.

    Of course its too pretentious for Mallards - bit of class needed here!

    No not Mandarins, she said Kharki Campbells and something called a Calling Duck? don't know if they just flew off or were took, those Mallards come and go all the time she had a clutch of 8 last year.I just thought dinner..she was not amused :D :D :D
