dead turk ok?

    theres cheap turf going at my local diy store and i need a bit to patch back an area of my garden will it be ok and grow back strong?its current state is it has gone yellow because of lack of sun.

    if its 50p a roll and its your lawn then YOU can take the risk.

    But as you have done all the hard work work in preparing the soil, levelling etc, it would be a shame to spoil it just to save a £20 or so. The neighbours would comment on your golden lawn.

    A lawn made from turf looks good immediately.

    Always check turf before buying. Most retailers buy in fresh on a Friday with the aim of selling out on Saturday. As it takes a good few days to go yellow it must be over a week old

    :) Chriz ,It is very difficult to kill grass,so go for it quickly,it will look awfull for a week or so,feed it with a liquid feed a few times Phostrogen or Miraclegrow and make sure it does not dry out.......Good luck :gnthb:.
