Deadhead?

    Quick question... is it recommended that you dead head these plants? They are hedge veronica's

      I agree with Pete the first one is Hebe and there's no need to deadhead. The second pic is out of focus and hard to identify.

        The first one looks like a Hebe and the second one could be Escallonia. Neither needs deadheading, if the second one is an Escallonia it can be pruned to shape to encourage bushiness in the spring, depending on how it's growing.

        Nice small shrubs both :)

            Two trains of thought with hebes.
            Light pruning with shears to maintain shape(how I do it)
            Hard prune with heavy machinery to maintain shape(hit or miss if it survives...maybe)
