Dear Taxi Driver

Inspired partly by FC's rules of the road thread, and something that happened to me on the way home from work.

Note to taxi drivers. When I am proceeding with due care along a main highway, and I see the front of your car waiting behind the give way markings just ahead of me, naturally this is no cause for concern and I will continue at my sensible speed.

However, should you decide to wait until I am almost at said junction before you decide to pull out in front of me forcing me to slam the brakes on, the very least I would expect is to see your horrified face when you realise that your error very nearly wiped you out. Perhaps the last thing I expect to see is the back of your head, especially as you were turning right out of a junction to my left. I know some people seem to have eyes in the back of their head, but as far as I could see from the close up of your blonde hair, you are not one of them, so I'd advise for future reference that it is prudent to have a look at what traffic is already on the road before you pull out

 

Is the taxi driver a member of GC then??

Not as far as I'm aware, but she might have been lurking on GC when she should have been paying attention
