decorating again!

i will be so glad when next weekend comes as i will be finished decorating the sisters house! done 2 bedrooms a bathroom , started on her bedroom this evening then next its the hallway landing and stairs! starting a new job soon so trying to get finished asap!then i will be starting on mine! i do love it but its been a nightmare trying to tie it in with everything else. people think its funny i do the decorating/tiling/ allsorts hahah but i would NOT trust the hubby to do it lol mum recons i should have been a lad lol

 

I never understood the idea that decorating is a male thing. In my family, it is both my sisters that have the artistic flare, and my older sister who is practical enough to apply that such that she is good at decorating.

 

i think its an old fashioned view point but i have had a few people think its odd hubby doesnt do it but he tried once and i wouldnt let it happen again hehhe

 

It's the same in my house Maria. My OH has many admirable qualities but decorating isn't one of them so I do all of it. Same with gardening.

 

Same here, I always did/do the decorating and I used to like it too, at least if you get it wrong you haven't got to be apologetic and ask hubby to re-do it!!!

 

omg what have i done! found crown paint being sold off at a pound in homebase so basically been at mums decorating with it! (well a bargains a bargain right lol) anyway after that just the sisters hallway landing and stairs to complete! then i REALLY need to give my own home attention! i hope im finished by christmas!lol

 

I cannot hang paper to save my life so hubby does that. He is a messy painter so I do all the painting.
£1 for paint was a great find! May have to check out Homebase!
Hope you get it all done Maria, Christmas is the same at ours, wouldn't be Christmas without the smell of newly applied paint!

hahahah forget it autumn bliss im shattered!! now im looking at my house and wondering were im going to find the time before christmas to get it done! and andendoll go check it out! it was at the till i only just spotted it! mums happy and im so glad other females on here do decorating i dont feel as odd now lol

 

tomorrow is tip run day for myself sis and mum and of course im doing it all!
