dont worry everything will be fine, do you think he shouldnt be on as long with the wall-papering.
I do my own wall-papering and it can take some time, especially if there is paper to take off.

Hooray! He`s gone. :clap:We usually do our own too so i know it`s not easy and it takes time but MR.fiz is busy with work so we thought it`d make life alot easier to just pay someone else to do it.We know this man and he said he does his own and his familys and he`s recently been out of work so we thought ok.I stripped the walls and painted the ceiling and the skirting boards myself so all he had to do was hang the paper. My kitchen is small and cupboards fill most of it.It`s tiled to half way so not much wall paper needed at all really. To give you some idea I bought 3 rolls and thats excess as its not to be matched.
Anyway,i`ve been in and out all day, over the gardens, went to buy a new blind etc.In general just keeping out of his way.At 4 o`clck he shouts, right i`m finished.I point out a couple of bits hes missed so he says oh,right, sorry,no problem.A bit later...Right,i`m finished.I should say that as a rule i`m a bit laid back but this just made me feel very sad.I asked him how much i owed him,he said a sum and i said no.I gave him what i thought he deserved and off he goes.A bit later Mr.fiz came in from work, took one look and went back out.A bit later the man comes back to finish the job properly. [IMG] ;) A lesson learned by all me thinks.

for what he had to do i wouldnt have taken all that time would of had it done by lunch time, sometimes people go slow to stretch it out to be paid a whole day which could be anything from £50 to £70 per day.
Recently i did my friends lounge as a favour mind not paying work she helped me strip the walls and i started about 10 am mind wallpapered all day and just got finished about 10.30 in the evening and that was a large lounge and i only carried on to finish it for her, and i had a few breaks in between.
