I don't suppose anyone has a deep 8" plastic pot? Quite specific but I need to repot a Zamioculcas zamiifolia into a slighter deeper pot to go into a ceramic one... and only a plastic pot of 8" diameter will fit.

It's either that or trying to cut out some of the clump.

(for those interested: I bought a deep, narrowish bigger pot. But on pulling the plant out of the plastic pot... I couldn't so had to cut it out. Which made me realise, that ceramic pot is a one way trip - that ZZ isn't coming back out without being smashed or cut out - so I think repotting into a deeper pot of the same diameter will give it at least another year. )

A lot of independent nurseries keep a stock of used pots. People bring their old pots back and the nurseries usually let others just take them. :blue thumb:

If you're able to wait until May you could come and join a lot of GC members at my Open Day. It's a good day out, raises money for charity, lots of plants for sale at very good prices, home made cakes and lots of entertainment. We had over 20 members from GC last year :)

Bingo! 210mm deep rose pot, flat sides, black... exactly what I'm after! Thank you. Not sure I need 10 of them but I'm sure I will find a use for them all!

Oh :( although with postage that comes to £19 in total when all I need is the one pot. Hmm. Think I'll keep an eye on ebay.

The pots mother load! :D yes I would love to come along in May. I might order a pot this instance as I really need to repot one plant.

People are always dropping off their empty pots at our place. I've had to tell them that unless they clean them first, not to bother!

That lot of pots, plus 3,000 2.5" that had already been put in the shed, took me about a week to clean :phew:
