I'm going to do the couch to 5K program :)

I'm not quite starting at the beginning. I've been indulging in some sport of the martial arts variety for the last 6 months and can now run just over a mile in one go.

I'm going to register for Park Run.

I reckon not next saturday, but the saturday after, I'm going to get myself along to the local park to give it a go. They do it all over the country, and even if there isn't one local to you, everywhere has somewhere local to get some outdoor exercise.

    So who's with me?

I'll be a bit knackered after digging the plot over and sieving a couple ton of compost, but I wish you well [IMG]

I've been thinking about something like that for the last 50 years or so. I do a lot of thinking. :blue thumb: :heehee:

If your taking up running make sure you buy a good pair of training shoes, designed for running, I still do 10k every weekend wearing 20 kilos in a back pack, combat boots and combat trousers.
I also swim twice a week.

                    When I say I still haven't done it, I don't mean I haven't managed to complete it. I haven't even tried yet:)

how dare you use the "C" word to early.

been walking more, will probably join a gym, but really want a membership only during the winter months, as I prefer to walk outside not inside on stupid machines. So will walk as long as I can.
