We drove there in the rain, when we arrived there was a torrential downpour, add that to the weeks of rain we've had it made a pretty muddy site / sight.

Guinness didn't seem to mind the mud..

The rain did clear up pretty quick after that but it was so dull all day we hardly had one decent pic to show you. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the show, a lot of hard work had gone into it and people we're determined to enjoy it despite the mud.

The climax of the show in the big arena (which is HUGE) was the youngsters of the Denbighshire Pony Club doing a musical ride. There must have been in excess of 60 ponies in the ring all at once and must have lasted for at least 20 minutes. The effect was stunning. Unfortunately, one poor lad fell off his mount, no physical damage done, but I bet he's lost a lot of street cred now :)

I suppose this pic sort of sums the days weather up..

Thats almost as bad as the royal welsh show last year, The car park and show ground were a see of mud.

I drive a pickup with BFG AT tyres, normally fairly capable. I tried towing an Audi and even in low ration i couldnt budge it an inch! Ended up driving acrosss a large proportion of the mud with the pick up almost sideways!!!

Thankfully it was beutifull weather this year, Never been to the Denbigshire show, a bitt too farr for me to travel.
