My first appointment is for one and a half hours to prep for a crown.
I then have about six fillings need replacing.
Now, I hear you say... this is going to cost..
And being private you would be correct..
    £873
    Phew.
    Look after your teeth guys..

But first I have to get our Mojo the cat to the vets to have his skin condition sorted again.
I locked his cat flap about 2 hrs ago and ever since then he has been hiding behind the settee.
How is it our animals know that all is not normal?
Next challange is to get him out from behind the settee and into the carrier.... wish me luck

oh dear capney thats a lot of money, i had all mine done caps, etc done in goa india the lot costs £300, then my filling on my front tooth came away so i had it done and cleaned in pattaya, thailand it was only £15, so in future iff i have anything wrong we go to thailand every year just getting mine seen to over there.
changing the subject slightly i get my glasses over there my last pair was in goa, sunglasses added £125 they would cost here well over £300.
best of luck with your treatment

Good Luck Robert.I hate the dentist and would rather not go but if you fail to keep the appointments they chuck you off the NHS and you end up having to pay Private. Are you NHS registered or do you prefere to go Private for your treatment? I assume with six fillings needed you haven't been for some time so that price is probably fair on what you saved by not having the treatment sooner:cnfs:

I had a Wisdom tooth out the other week because I had a small absess at the top on my gum and Antibiotics hadn't cleared it up at Christmas and would only have got worse.I swear she injected right into the heart of the bliddy thing but I am glad it is out as I am no longer in pain:thumb:

Rosa,Goa would be too expensive for me to go to for treatment because by the time i had brought my passport £98 then plane ticket both ways at £??????? then brought my Goan money and paid commission{do you still get charged for that?} I am better off having my teeth done here and my glasses I got buy one get one free from Specsavers Verifocles and varifocal sunglasses for about £120 odd eighteen months ago so am well pleased with them:D:D

GOOD LUCK Robert I will be thinking of you and that drill:D:D

kandy i suppose iff you go to these places for a holiday its much cheaper than england, getting teeth done abroad works out a lot cheaper than here and designer glasses are much cheaper abroad than here

    Thanks for your thoughts guys...
Now safely back home with a numb head.
Four replacement fillings and one new filling plus prep work for a crown...1.5 hrs.
Back in two weeks for the next session.
I used to go a dentist that was near to my work so it was handy.
They kicked NHS and went private years ago, but I stayed with them and they have done some good work for me.
I think the price reflects the number of years it has been since I have been,
but, it also suggests to me that the high priced sonaircare and the oral B toothbrushes I use do not do as they claim, and also this new dentist of mine seems to think they are also a load of rubbish.
Not sure what he is going to suggest the best method to use, as yet we have not covered that subject.
Now let me see how much of this mug of tea I can spill with a numb head.:(
