    Hello, hello!

I need help! In the new garden where I live (which is actually a rather old garden I found among others a plant I could not name. It looks like a philadelphus, but it is taller and gaunter, with thick straight stems (I pruned off half of them, there were more stems than leaves) and peeling bark. The leaves look like a philadephus but a tad rough.

    The flowers are these:

I think it is Deutia scabra, but confirmation (or not) would be welcome. I hate not to know the name of my plants :(

    Thanks!

Oh, my, don't know what the problem with Flickr was... may be because I linked the larger size? I will never get the hang of these things. Thanks Kalmia! The pic is a bit artsy, but it's the best I have of the flowers :-(

Thanks, finally found some close up pics that conclusively confirm the Deutzia identity!
