Oh that is so sad, 13 isn't very old for a cat, I've had them live into their 20s.
I can understand you feeling devastated, it was a sudden shock for you. You have all my sympathy.
I remember a cat we had who died suddenly from a blood clot at 6 yrs old. That was 10 years ago but I still have difficulty talking about it, and I still feel tears in my eyes if I look at photos of her.

Sympathy also to your daughter and her husband in their loss. What a terrible time for you all.

So sorry about your loss. This year we lost two cats. Our old lady of 22 passed on Nov. 22. and in the fall our 18 year old guy left us. Right now , no paws to greet me in the house, to look for me. Hugs.

I lost my old friend Zoe, not a cat but a collie dog 10yrs ago, so I know how it feels, nothing replaces them but they had a good life in your care, so dont beat yourself up over it which we often do.

So, so sorry, Janet. I hope the sharp edge of the grief softens for you soon. Try to focus on what a lovely life he had with you, and that he went quickly and cleanly without suffering. :grphg:

I understand your devastation Janet. Try to be comforted by the fact that you and your daughter gave Tiggs a good life he may not otherwise have had. You must miss him dreadfully.

So sorry for your loss Janet, it's so shocking when they go like that, one of our dogs went like it and one of our others passed away 12 days before him.
He had a good life with you after what he'd been through, so think of the good times.
