Diabetes Type 2

Does anybody know of a forum (like this brilliant site) where people have general discussions about Diabetes. All that I've found up to now are 'Forums' that just give medical reports. I would really like to find one where other people respond to messages.

 

Thank you Marley Farley. A better site than I have seen as yet but it's American and they use different glucose readings to UK so it's not so easy to understand. Anybody else got any info please?

having just taken a look at the content it could be useful.

The blood glucose difference is manageable - they use mg/dl and we use mmol/l. Having seen information on blood glucose meter instructions where readings are given as both i.e. 53 mg/dl is the same as 3 mmol/l tis fairly simple to work out what one mmol/l = 17.6 mg/dl - your local pathology department could confirm. Once you got that, its much the same as working in fahrenheit and centigrade in gardening, though less need for exact figures. Dunno if that helps but hope it does.

I too am diabetic type two and have been since October 1997 I recall the diagnosis very well...

I run a forum about health issues which is just getting off the ground (I've recently moved it and lsot a lot of members, so we currently only have about 5 members) but you are more than welcome to visit and look for yourself...
