A few weeks back i tried to move my Dicentra Bleeding Heart and snapped it :(

It was suggested to try and take cuttings from it, so I salvaged anything still green, dipped it in rooting hormone stuff and put them all in a big pot.

This is now what I have ....

I put them in one large pot around the outsides and the woody stem from the old plant in the middle. Cant remember where but I read this was a good idea.

A couple of shoots are still green and look really healthy ... compared to a lot of the other bits I put in that have gone brown and shrivelled up.

Now, not having done this before .... does this mean the green ones have made roots ? If so what do I do now ?

Apologies that the pictures arent up to much - its hard to take photos of something so small :hehe:

Sorry for asking sooooooooo many questions this week - am off work and trying to get loads of little bits sorted :cnfs:

I'd leave them until they are big enough to be handled. I don't think that they are big/strong enough yet. I would give them the rest of this season, and perhaps in the spring after they have over wintered, or plant the whole pot out as one plant, and divide the following season.

    Hope this Helps!
