My dad as had a digital photo frame given to him.
He would like some photos of my Mother on it.
He as many photos of her on his computer that I scanned in for him after she died.
Can he get the photos off the computer onto the SD card?

    Yes..
Whats needed is a card reader which most newish PCs will have installed.
If not, a cheapish card reader with USB connection can be purchased and then its a simple case of copying the picture Jpeg files from pC onto the SD card

If you can put the SD card in your camera you will probably be able to copy from Computer to Camera (obviously normally you would copy in the other direction!)

I'd like a digital photo frame - but when I make up my mind to buy one I decide that I need a larger one, and then I find I am too mean to pay for it :(

Anyone have advice on Makes / Models they would recommend pls?

Best advise from me is make sure you go for the highest resolution screen you can afford. You will not be dissapointed.
Mine has internal memory and can read SD plus its wifi. I can download pictures to it from anywhere in the world via my router.. Clever...

I've been too mean to spend that much ... but I suppose that Prints from film would have been 10p each ... so worth about 800 photographs in "old money" ...

... nope, still too mean to spend that much!
