disease on walnut

    I would be interested to read viewers comments on this dark streak on a walnut. Not sure what it is or what to do about it.

    Martin it looks like sap is oozing from that old pruning scar, and the streak is where its stained the bark.

    A disease on Walnut oh no :eek: They used to recommend sealing pruning scars with amber shellac or tar based products but modern day thinking is to leave them.
