i planted a Comice against a wall a few years ago,and have had some good fruit until this year when half the pears look like this. Does anyone know what it is, and whether anything can be done? image.jpeg

    Looks like Scab

Nothing available for gardeners to treat it anymore, best you can do is remove and burn affected leaves and fruit, then keep it clean around the base when the leaves fall in the autumn.

Are there any other pear trees nearby? as it can spread.
