Dividing hardy Cyclamen

    Could anyone advise me the best time to divide hardy Cyclamen please :sunny:

    You cannot divide Cyclamen corms. If there are babies in/on/around the corm you have then you can transplant them in June/July.

      Jiffy, when you look make sure you don't look only around the plant. The seedlings are on springs and can shoot many feet from the parent when they are released. They can jump up to five feet away from the parent.

      This is a good time of year to look for the seedlings as they should be in leaf now. Look under surrounding plants or in the lawn if the lawn is nearby.

        Just been out and looked there are lots from seedling coming through, but the Cyclamen in a wildarea with other plants so may be hard to see which is which or if it's weed's:o

        Cyclamen leaves are quite distinctive.

        Just google seedling to see what there look like, now to go and find them :yess:

        The seeds do not jump, they are carried away by ants who love the sticky coating on the seeds and lick it off.
