Starting to gather materials etc to do my Lawn Dressing for autumn.
By autumn my lawn is tired and brown off with some patches of moss appearing.
To help to recover for next year I want to prepare my own dressing to put some nutrients back in the soil etc.
I’ve thought of 3 parts of my clay soil, 6 parts sharp sand and 2 parts or 3 parts compost. But for compost I’m thinking of Wellands Farmyard Manure to add the nutrients.

    Any suggestions/tips

    thanks

You just need a fine soil and sand mix and to maintain the lawn through mechanical and correct fertiliser treatments through the year, including irrigation in the summer.
Normally you would do some type of mechanical work in the late Summer to early Autumn depending on weather then seed and dress.
I’m not into compost as a dressing, prefer a good quality soil mixture instead.
