    Hi All,

Made these raised beds this weekend - £70 for timber and £20 for the various fixings.

I've not 'levelled' them off yet - this will be the job for tomorrow - what do you think so far?

In two minds about what to do with the square raised bed in the middle - either a nice specimen shrub or a small pond with a solar fountain - which would you have?

I'll be filling the triangle corner beds with annuals each year - so I can change the colour scheme.

Top soil to top up the beds and 20mm limestone in between - so we can get to the beds.

I'm secretly quite chuffed about how they have turned out - I'm not very good at DIY.

I really like those. What about an acer for the middle? Or if you wanted winter colour you could go with Cornus/dogwood 'midwinter fire'. It's one of my favourites.
I've got an edgeworthia chrysantha I love too, but I don't think they are massively hardy in an open spot. The flowers are awesome though!

Some good ideas there CharileBot - thank you.

My brother suggested a pond with a cherub figure weeing into the pond :hate-shocked:- you can get them I later found out!

Definitely be looking at Dogwood - like the idea of winter colour.:dbgrtmb:
