    Hi

Pruned this Rose around Feb/March and it has gone mad ever since. It has recently bloomed and my question is do i need to cut off these vertical shoots that seem to have come from nowhere? The rest of the rose droops but these shoots are solid. See pictures, thanks!

Hi Will562,Well they could be suckers or just new growth ,if you can trace them to where they start from we should have a better idea,(Main Stem or down by the union Bud)but on saying that if you just need to tidy them up it would,nt hurt to prune them level,it won,t harm this beautiful Rose:)

Hi wiseoldowl, thanks for your help. They are definitely coming from the main stem, so i will give them a trim tomorrow.
