I got these large alaska willow cuttings from someone and wondering if I should stick them in the ground as they are or cut them into smaller pieces before planting? Thanks

They might still root, willows like doing so. I would get them fairly deep or even lay them horizontally. Perhaps cut so there is only one or two leaves on it to prevent moisture loss.

When we did our willows we did them in the Autumn and were told to strip of all the leaves as @Adam l says to reduce transpiration. Still worth giving it a go.
