Does Anyone know what this beautiful tree is.?

    :sunny: Hi everyone, my friend has just recently moved & there is this gorgeous tree in the garden.. We have no idea what it is.. It is about 2.5 - 3m tall the flowers are just opening now.. Any ideas anyone..? I am counting on you all.. :WINK1: :D

      Looks like Fremontodendron Californicum to me. These are often grown against a sunny wall or fence.
      Lovely shrub, but if you or your friend are going to prune it at any time, best make sure you're wearing gloves. It's covered in minute hairs which can make you itch and sneeze like mad!

        Yes a Fremontodendron ..I had one for a number of years then it passed away .Beautiful...

          :DOH: Funny how you can go through life totally oblivious of such beauty.. Yes it does grow near a brick wall in a very sunny sheltered spot.. I am so glad you said about the hairs on it, although I don't think there is any intention to do anything to it.. Thank you both..
