    Hiya,
I have just moved into my house and subsequently i am discovering the world of gardening.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?
I was wondering because it hasn't flowered yet and i can't see any buds on it. But it is definately loving it where it is as it's growing prolifically.

It was damaged (or should i say injured?!?) when the fence it was climbing on blew down, but it is now growing with avengence on a temporary frame i whipped together. At the moment it is at shoulder height.

Im thinking i should train it back up the new replacement fence, but not sure how or when it would be best to do it?

I would be grateful for any advice.
    Thankyou in advance!

Looks like a lonicera (honeysuckle) to me. May be wrong though.

I can never tell the difference between honeysuckle and knotweed...

    I think it is knotweed.

EDIT: Red stems, so probably honeysuckle. Not sure about when or how you should trim it.

Oh, no, I am reasonably sure that the plant in the picture that started the thread is a lonicera, the link was just to reassure Greengiant that the thing is NOT a knotweed. ;)

English is not my first language, if I fail to make myself clear and get entangled in my own posts, please, don't scruple to let me know! :)

"Oh Ivory you make me laugh...!!!!"

Good, that should improve my karma, sowing some happiness in the world. :)
But it's true that sometimes what with italian, german, english and latin I get so mixed up that I don't know what I'm saying any longer. I feel like my brain is a well run word-composter.
