If you can leave it till it flowers, it can grow large, but the bees will love the flowers, and the birds will love the seeds. I'm so jealous, I've had to plant some teasels from seed.

    Hope this Helps!

It's certainly teasel. I let a group of them grow in my garden two years ago. They outgrew their welcome, so I dug them all out after they had flowered.

Hi there, can I ask of you guys if the spine on the underside of the leaf is spikey...as I have just dug a load up from various places on the allotment.

What sort of flowers do they grow...are they more or less "a weed" and is it worth leaving some in... are they useful for anything.

    Many thanks

    Steve
