Dog Rose seeds/plant

Does anyone have any dog rose seeds. I would like one in my garden, it is only little so am thinking i only need a couple of seeds. Are they difficult to grow?

if no one has any seed available ,there is always the trusty Ebay , see link below. I have never grown dog rose ,but from the description it sounds like it may be difficult/slow to germinate and grow on from seed. It could be easier to buy a plant, or take a cutting at the right time.

Hi Kimkim,

I've got one coming up in a poly pot that I assume came from a bird poo.

Have a look for hips along the railway embankments, if the birds havn't eaten them all by now. Break the hips open, they will have several seeds inside plus free itching powder :D
