Not all, and not particular to any breed. And not all the time, just some of the time. Some maybe in a blue moon , some maybe only in the summer, and some maybe only in the winter. Depends on the height of the dog, and the gender of the dog, females tend to do it more than males. Studies have shown only dogs who live in mountains versus on the beach hide bones more often. That is all I know about that subject, hope it helps.

Had a labrador when I was a kid.
She did bury bones on the odd occasion, in summer in the garden.

Not had a collie that has done that.

i remember treating our two dogs at the time (Polo & Doc) to two great big biscuit bones (they were massive!) Polo plonked himself down to eat his happily but Doc, oh no, he brought it down to the bottom of the garden and buried it in the dirty smelly compost heap:gaah::doh:

none of our Bichon's nor our Chihuahua bury bones "properly" they stuff them down the backs of couches or under blankets and silly places like that lol :doggieshmooze:
