Donate / check?

Found a question from O2 without an answer: Why do some people have Donate and others have Check on their posts? Also, what's the meaning of and the difference between Horizontal and Vertical Postbit ? Is there somewhere all these little details about the new features are explained ? I haven't found it in Site Info & Feedback.

 

I think one of the problems is there are a number of posts and threads from confused usere (me included). It would help if someone with the power to move posts collated all these into one HELP thread. As a start, go to the top of the page to the first green menu line and click on FAQ, you may find your answer there.

 

Vertical is the old format, you can change back to this as the default.

 

The problem is PG, what does it mean. If peeps don't understand something, they are unlikely to use it or change it in case it has an undesirable effect, so they ask, that generates lots of individual posts that could be collated into one help thread.
There is the FAQ facility and at the top of my page there's a link to a.n.other help thread and it wouldn't take me long to find more.
C'mon mods, the number of posts from confused members must tell you there's something wrong here!

Actually, we are still learning all this too! Having a comprehensive factoid FAQ takes some time to get together as I have to find out how it works first! Then I have to put something together with screen shots to show people how to do/what to do. And I do have a life outside GC, plus a job! So please be patient. I KNOW you want answers but I only have one pair of hands!

 

You have "check" everyone else has "donate".

So you can "check" your own, (to see what you have), or "donate" to somebody else.

I dont think this is going to work lets be honest. When you ask the clever ones they say they dont know themselves, so my point is if they dont know how are we to.

 

So you never had to learn something that was new to you?

I WILL be adding it to the FAQ fourm - eventually. I DO know how it works, I just DON'T know how it's applied on this forum yet as the substance hasn't been fully installed yet.
