I am in the process of making a large pot of veg soup. While I was doing all the never ending chopping I was sort of listening to "Homes under the hammer" which is still on. I nearly chopped my finger off when the presenters described a town not far enough!! from where I live as "pretty". OMG I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to live there. You'd need protection just to go to the shops. A compete hell hole. I'd better not name it just in case a member of GC lives there...doubtful as there aren't many even vaguely kept gardens that I've seen. Usually a "garden" has a scrapped car siting in it.
Maybe there are other things people know to be untrue which they have heard said on their TV which make their eyes pop out on stalks?

Its moron that should have had its lights punched out long ago, then it wouldn't be on nearly every channel I buzz through, in the hope of finding something worth watching.

Sorry, but some of the scummy 'types' featured on his shows actually exist.

Yeah I know they exist, I probably know a few of them,.

Just dont think him shouting at them, and being holier than thou, really comes over as being true.

Monty Don on Gardener's World, saying you can avoid the ravages of carrot fly by growing chives in between them, or by only thinning them carefully on calm or wet days.

He shouts and verbally abuses people, knowing that if they lose their temper he can run out of the way and let his bouncers handle the fallout.

He makes a living out of belittling people who, let's face it, do a perfectly good job of belittling themselves.

I also think that his show is created as a result of a conspiracy between government and businesses, to try to reduce sick pay. You feel like rubbish, so you call in sick. Because you're not very well you can't do much, so you put the telly on out of boredom. After one episode of Jeremy Kyle, you suddenly realised that even dragging yourself into work when you feel like death is better than sitting watching a self riteous little man screaming at chavs while hiding behind his bouncers.

He still not all bad though he was never like that on BRMB and altho i dont watch his show anymore because it bores me, have you ever considered he may have to put on that persona for the show and that is what the producers etc want.

I was listening to him from the radio from before i was 14. Not quite sure what age but it was in the old house and wr moved to the new one on my 14th birthday so i have had many years of his personality and stuff before this show to also go on.

I googled he was om brmb from 1997 to 2000 doing late and live and jezzas jukebox. So yeh he is part of my childhood

I am always amazed at the home improvement shows where supposedly quality renovation work is completed in a day. The decorators who can whip up window treatments out of bedsheets and pass them off as designer lever appointments!
