Hi All. I need to replace my greenhouse rubber door seal before winter. Trouble is it is an old greenhouse and no longer made. Phoned numerous inquiries to different companies but no luck.

I was having high hopes of G.Culley of Rochdale who sell 1500 different kinds of seals for all applications. I sent him a drawing of size of seal but no luck. He did say if I supply my address he will sent me a sample of a "hairyworm" product which basically is a brush seal like you have at side & bottom of doors.

That got me thinking and I know you can get self adhesive brush pile draught excluders for doors & windows and was looking on fleebay and you can get some where the brush is 12 mm wide. The gap between the door & frame is 15 mm so I was thinking perhaps some self adhesive draught excluder strip, like sponge to make up the gap.

Wonder if anyone has gone down the road of using a self adhesive brush seal and was wondering if it works and where you purchased it.

    Thanks

Hi Val.That is a very good idea. I think they would last a lot longer than the self adhesive brush kind. I am going to look into them, thanks.

@trogre Well my greenhouse has a brush seal but it isn't stuck on it is sort of wedged in like those in the links, you could easily stick it on with something like Araldite though. hope you get sorted.

You could try local double glazing firms to see if they could help you out with the rubber sealers Trogre. :)
