At work I have a green house which is about 18ft by 12ft ,south facing and double glazed. So "Whats the problem? "or "Lucky b*****d" I here you say but according to the max min thermometer it gets up to 40-50 degrees over the weekend and its not July or August yet. It has access to the main school building so it must be secured ie windows closed doors locked from friday at 3.00pm to monday 8.00 am .Am trying to get an extractor fan linked to a thermostat but not hopefull. Any body got any ideas of what to grow or what will survive?

Have you got shading on the Greenhouse Beefy. Thats about the only thing that will keep the temperature down, with windows and doors closed.

The other thing is humidity - you can grow tropicals in that kind of heat - but you need humidity. A tray of water, or bucket would raise the humidity.

I could live in it if you like :D

Any chance you could get an automatic vent installed with an alarmed iron grille to prevent access? The heat really is going to be a problem in summer and it's either rain forrest (with humidity) or desert cactii.
