Hi all Think i spelled that right have anyone heard or had this problem with onions the stems go a slight yellow with like a black Mildu on them and they tell me its called Doudy Mildu. Quite a few gardeners at the allotment have this on their onions however mine seem okay at the moment but it may spread is there any sprays one can use to prevent it i was told Dithane ??? may help.
That sounds like something you would order in an Indian restaurant Jetplane. I have heard of downy mildew, which is maybe what you misheard but I think it is usually a whitish coating on plants, maybe if you Google it , you may get a better idea. It could be rust, I'm sure you will get some more useful replies.
I think it is "Downy Mildew" too... :thumb: Have a look here, I think it will tell you for sure.. http://www.which.co.uk/files/application/pdf/Onion Downy Mildew-445-108722.pdf
Marley Farley checked on the link you gave me but could not find out much regarding what one can treat Downey Mildew with does anyone know what one can use maybe there is nothing one can do about it however i am not sure.
:thumb: You can get anti-fungal sprays from your garden centre Jetplane. This is what Gardeners world say to use...
Dont happen to know the name of them by any chance or i guess they would inform me if i explain what i want it for shall pop over the w/end
