Great Photos of a beautiful part of the country. A real wildlife haven! Which river is that?

Are you anywhere near to the New Forest? I'd love to see some pics of that. I used to work in Hampshire and would go off for drives into the Forest at weekends. Dorset is lovely. Great Thomas Hardy country!

Thanks Slinky - have been to the source at Stourhead - one of the most beautiful parks in England I think! Also stayed at a hotel in Ferndown on the main Ringwood Road on a very dangerous bend that crossed this river!!!

    Small world.

Used to fish at Longham and New road as a kid. Still got some river tackle, but these last few years not used it, drown worms in the sea instead, Branksome or Flaghead chines or Sandbanks.

Another Dorset waterway, further inland, anybody like to guess the location?

Clue: part of the village name suggests the stream does not flow in the summer.

The next clue would have been St Nicholas.

Incidently there is a small nursery/plant seller in the village, they are usually at some of the craft & country fair days like at Kingston Lacy house & similar, very wide range of plants, though not always a lot of each one.
