Can you be a bit more specific? It's awfully difficult to give you advice when you say "it tells me, to disable something". It helps to know what the 'something' was!

I have done something wrong again now I can not hear the cd at all i must of disabled something i should not of will try and get it back god i am so thick when it comes to things like this.

I do have one message though

    Digital CD Playback

You can have windows use digital instead of analog playback of cd audio. This feature may not work with all CD-rom devices, disable if you are having problems with CD Audio.

Did that and now no sound at all

Hi its Martyn (Gogs boy), Sounds like you have the Volume Control disabled.
In the bottom right of your screen you will see a little yellow speaker icon.
Double click it and make sure your volume is turned up and NOT muted.

    PC medic

My volume is on full and not muted, it has something to do with my windows media player, because if i play my cds with itunes or something else i can hear it ok.

Your media player software is faulty.

just carry on using itunes or another player.

if you see that windows is having a problem then maybe you will want to call someone out to have a look at the problem.
