I've not seen them but have heard of them recently.
I think they must be similar to the fruits that form on epiphyllum cacti, I've tasted them and they have a kind of scented flavour.
I'll have to keep an eye open.
    Did you buy any?

    Roders,

As I am partly Welsh, I feel I should take the plunge and try one of these for myself. Will report back once mission accomplished [IMG]

I have seen these promoted in local shops and a supermarket complete with recipes but as yet haven't tried one, does look like cactus fruit. [IMG]

    Hi roders

Comes from a cactus usually farmed in thailand/ vietnam.
I love them, very refreshing with a slight perfumey flavour.

In fact I think I might try to grow some this year. Feel like a challenge.

I've had some, they taste a little bit like a cross between a kiwi and melon (but a more watery taste), they have a white flesh with loads on little black seeds dotted throughout the white flesh.

Donna bought some at a local market for me about 6 months ago ..... 3 for £1 ;)
