    Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before, not a very clued up gardener I'm afraid.
My problem is poor drainage in one corner of my lawn, approx 10% of the lawn size, I would appreciate any tips on how to quickly deal with this at a low cost, and low effort.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Low cost and low effort; these things rarely go together.

What is the cause of the poor drainage? Is the soil heavy or compacted? Is it the lowest point of the garden?

The rest of the lawn seems very good, it's just that one corner, the house is a new build, the one thing I should have mentioned is that corner sees very little to no sun, that can't be helping, the lawn is very flat and level, no difference in the soil in that corner to the rest.

The one thing you could try barry is to spike the wet part of the lawn with a fork[about half way down] .Then with a stiff broom brush sharp sand into the holes

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that today, it's a nice day, and best of luck for the blues in the CL final, I hope they gup the reds, however you play my team on Monday so I won't wish you any luck at all with that game.

    Cheers
