Using the moleseeds website technical/comparison details I drew up a list. I could have quite happily ordered all my seed from them but just can't justify buying in the volumes they sell although I was tempted!

I am however ordering some seed from them, the rest coming from Seedsuk, T&M, Marshalls and Suttons.

I'm trying a lot of different varieties next year seeking good performing, easy to grow types because I hope to augment my income by selling veggie seedlings at the local farmers market. The rush is now on to get my other 2 greenhouses up and ready :)

I digress! I've drawn up my shopping list, along with the stuff I've already ordered, allotment rental and other costs, £200 or thereabouts ain't that bad for a full years entertainment. Is it?

I hasten to add, I raise my seedlings at home, I have a 8'x6' greenhouse at the mo with a 16'x 12' ready to be assembled at the bottom of the garden and another 8'x6' greenhouse for the allotment.

Good luck for next year Vince, the planning and anticipation for the coming growing season helps to put behind us the disappointments of a bad summer and helps us through the winter months. Let's hope we have a good sunny summer in 2009.:thumb:

Can't agree more Digger, 2 bad summers so 3rd time lucky?

Just hope we have a fairly friendly winter so I can get all my beds prepared for next season.

Statistically the chances should be getting greater for a hot and settled summer but the seasons do seem to be changing. I would even be happy to see a few cold and frosty days this coming winter to help kill off some of the pests and diseases but we'll take it as it comes, we wouldn't be gardeners if we weren't optomists. Cheers T.D.

I do believe cold and frosty days are already upon us T.D. My pond was frozen for 3 days.:(
