Dreaming dreams

I think I want to move to the coast. From Wales to Hampshire is out - the scenery and gardening may be wonderful but the property price on the coast is high for my budget which is round �£180k, and the rain is, well wet, on that side. So am thinking of the Norfolk/Suffolk coast - further north and the temperature drops by 1 degree per hundred miles. I like the middle england climate.

Smallish old village, a mile or a little more from sandy dunes/beach (shingle beaches are horrid to walk on) - away from touristy towns, and not made up of holiday homes only.

What do you think - and where do you suggest. My thoughts are, at the moment around Titchwell - I like the RSPB site there - but I've time to ponder. Your suggestions would be appreciated - to add to the dream

Can't move at the moment, cos I have an elderly mother in Swanley - and north norfolk would mean a 4 hour journey. 8 ours there and back - possible, but not something I would wish.So I've got time to ponder and think.
