Hello, I am new to growing roses and I don't know what could be wrong with mine. I bought a small pot with roses 2 weeks ago. I keep it indoors on my windowsill and I water it regularly. A few days after I bought it I noticed that some leaves were turning yellow. Today I noticed that some of the roses look and feel like dried flowers, there are even buds that look like that. At the same time there are healthy roses on my flower and it has even produced small new leaves. What am I doing wrong? I gave it some rose food last week, do you think that could be the reason (I was careful not to give it too much)? Can you think of any other reasons? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi tolennaki, what type of Rose is it? by which i mean is it a miniature one that's meant for indoors? the feed shouldn't harm it...maybe it's a little too warm, the dried flower looks to be at the end of it's bloom but the other looks healthy enough...

Hi, thank you for you reply. I am not sure if it's a miniature, but where I bought from it was kept indoors and the flowers are very small, so it could be. What worries me is that there is a bud which has not opened yet and it looks already dried, so that doesn't seem right. Here is a photo of the leaves, some of them (but not many) look like that. Do you think I should wait and see? I'll try to keep it in a cooler room.

Was the rose in sunshine and if so how did you water? I'm wondering, if you got water on the leaves they may have been scorched by the sun. All roses inside or out should be watered at the base and leaves kept dry if possible, this will avoid scorch and help keep disease at bay.
