I have brought driftwood from the river and have it as gardening sculpture. It has grown brown/tan mushroom type fungus. Is this OK to leave? Will it sporead and thereforew is it bad for the surrounding plants? Shouls I throw it away or spray it ?

Hi compost maker and welcome to gc.

Sorry but I can't help you with your problem but isn't it true that fungus only grows on certain hosts?
